Good And Bad day
So today i got to take my ski out for proly its last ride of the season. The lake was pretty much glass with some boat waves, temps 78-80, humidity 65%, pressure 30.21.
My ski is a 01 gpr with
New rings 28 Hrs ago
|| Ride plate(not moded)
I left the stock grate on just as a comparison to my R&D 1200 grate
With the R&D grate my best avg. speed was 63.7 and a couple time at 64.4, same temps and humidity, but with 1-2'' ripples
Do those numbers seem right to anyone?
Also my ride plate sits 3mm higher in the hull then my pump shoe, should they be flush? And i have about a 1"x3/4" chunk missing from a vein on my stator, its been missing all season.
I know its slower on glass the in some chop, so are do my speeds seem about right? Just thought i would be faster.

No,your speed is down a few mph.I would recommend milling the head to 150 psi, rejet the carbs, add FA's and NEVER run that stock intake grate.
Please read our PWC SAFETY section.
Any pics of the pump shoe? Might be hanging down, scrubbing speed.

So NOOOOOW you edit your post about the chunk missing in the stator section. Theres some cavatation/speed loss. The 01' GPR's run in the 63's in stock form.

i ran a 64.7 with a full tank of gas and oil, a strong wind and only a r&d grate and stepped sponsons.
you seem a bit slow to me.
i did that last weekend on my 06

thanks for the responses guys.
I know not to run the stock grate just did it for a couple runs, i do leave my R&D on.
I was thinking the missing chunk was the prob also , and the pump shoe is tight to the hull not hanging down anywhere,
I might just save up and get the 05+ pump for it next summer
I was running between 2-4bars on the fuel about a full tank of oil and trim one click up also

You are down a bit but considering the damaged stator its pretty good.
Check your pump shoe placement and save up for the 05 pump.
Also a few mods on that plate will yield some impressive gains. Talk to Jim.
