    UMI steering advantages?

I'm getting ready to make order from Jerry, I love the looks of the UMI steering setup, but what are the real advantages of running it vs looks?
    Thanks

unbelievable riding position... by far the best dollar i've ever spent on my rxp

if you enjoy sliding back far on the seat and stretching out, then UMI isn't for you... totally changes the swivel axis angle and forces you to stay on top of the handlebars in an more aggressive position

and that's besdides the fact that it looks incredible in my opinion

I had UMI steering on my HX and loved it. The swivel axis is vertical, more like a 4-wheeler, rather than horizontal like a car. It's a matter of preference, but I liked it vertical much better. Also, your handlebar options open up alot.

The drawbacks are the price ($!$!) and the lack of possibilities for the mode and set buttons.

I put UMI on my skis for the looks, but a wonderful side effect is how the ski feels with it

yes... please be creative with the mode/set/start/stop buttons... it takes some time and inginuity, but it's a sin when you take a $600 dollar steering system and zip tie the buttons to the steering column or the handlebars...

Yea, greenhulk's kit does a good job of making everything look professional on the '06/'07 stuff, but leaves the '04/'05 guys hangin' on the mode/set buttons.

All of the above. Play with the angle up or down of the bar position.
