Will gas prices affect your summer?

Looks like they will be higher this year then last. Will this slow you down this summer? Will it play a role in what mods you do?

I may take a few sundays off, but I'll still be on the water.

    Nope...

    Company pays for the gas...

And yes, the company willingly and knowingly pays for the gas for the toys also...

Absolutely, it will affect what I do this summer. Have to cut WAY back with 2 skis and an Expedition to feed @ $3+/gal. Wish I had become a energy futures trader.

I hear with all the hybrids coming out and the gas/methyl whatever mix they are going to be jacking it up even higher.

I hear you. We have been saving all winter just for gas for the summer fun.

With the 10mpg I'll be getting on the tow vechile, and gas for two skis I'm lookin at close to 200 every day I'm out on the water in fuel alone. This assumes I'm on the water and not on shore drinking beer.

One thing I have found for FREE gas is a shell credit card. I get 1% back on all purchases and 5% back on shell purchases. We have started using the credit card for everything (instead of the debit) and I pay it off weekly. So far I have about $100 in free gas that I wouldn't have gotten otherwise.

    Tax Refund (Texas)

    Greetings--

I recently found out that one can sumbit for a refund of gasoline taxes paid for "off-road" usage, in Texas. I assume that other states might have somthing similar.

According to the State information, boating is off-road usage. Every little bit of $$ one can get back helps, eh ?
