Baby Jet Ski is Gone
I got back from Elsinore and traded Baby Jet Ski for the STXR. That STXR is like new. It has a perfect hull and clean as a whistle under the seat. My friend was tired of always getting smoked when we would go riding at the river. The tiny gas tank bothered him as well. It will be a great family ski for me.
Jim, I saw about 6 yellow and black skis out there today. I didn't race any skis it was rough. We must have missed each other. I did do a bunch of speed runs. I did race a big boat and barely beat him twice. We were into it all the way down the lake. Maybe Pimp and I can hookup next time I'm there. Could only muster 72.5 in the nasty chop. It was worse than O'Side harbor. Can't keep the pump hooked up. Spend half the time airborne.
Jen was very pleased with her refurbed ski. Her and her boyfriend rode it and loved how it felt. They will probably join in as some new river friends. Good people.

I gave him the 1300 top end with it. That old GPR was kind of rough looking compared to the Kawi. I did spend an hour getting the water spots off the Kawi before the picture. Then Pledged it up.
Thanks all. That ski will just be a family workhorse. If I mod anything on it I will get a larger gas tank for it. Thats it.
What all types of oil are good with that. I'm leaving the injection on.
Kawi-Chem, Yamalube etc. ?
Doug did ride that with us before Mark. I like how STXR's handle chop.

it's an 02 so check the front motor mounts periodically because they occasionally pull out of the hull.... be carefull with any harsh landings on it, the 02's are the most desireable stxr hull becuase they were considered the "eggshell" hull... the hulls were the thinnest production year but they were also the fastest

Not only good in the chop but put some aftermarket sponsons on that baby and you wont believe how tight it will turn. The stxr will flat out leave a gpr in the chop.
