It's a stock nozzle that they machined to accomodate the different sized stainless steel rings. They provide 3 rings with the kit. 83mm (stock), 82 and 81 mm.

I just wanted to know. How much RPM's do you pick up from adding a ring size 1mm larger. Also besides holeshot can I gain mph from switching to an 86mm ring from an 81mm ring. I ask because my RPM's are at 7700 with the 81mm and my mph is 74mph with a stage 3 kit. I know the larger take away from top speed but I am hoping I gain some mph from my RPM's being so low.

Ooops I just realized I posted this in the wrong section. But anyways I think it will apply for both skis.

Still low regardless of ring size. What's you prop pitch? Has it been adjusted any?

i have seen anywhere from 60 to 80 rpm diffrence between rings..As far as switching to an 86mm ring, i would say yes you should see a speed increase seeing you will be increasing your RPM,BUT 7700 rpm on a Stage 3 boat is not right, you have something amiss somewhere else too as a stage 3 boat should be pulling 85-8600 rpm..rings are not gonna gain you 800 rpms..

I know my ski is really slow for a stage 3, and think it's because of two things. One being that my ski is running really rich. My fuel pressure is at 58psi with 1000cc injectors and I live in the tropics where the heat is extreme and not as much fuel is needed and the recommended psi is 55psi. Another thing would be that I think my prop is really over pitched because of inconsistencies in prop sizes when mass produced. Do you think when I rectify these problems I should be in the 80's ?
