Marine grade silicon
Getting prepared to install OPAS block off and looking for recommendations for the best silicon to use in the installation.

I used The Right Stuff made by Permatex I think. You can get it at Auto Zone. It comes in a black aerosol like can. It is about 15.00. It is messy but works good. A lot of other people use it here too. If you are installing RE's I used Ultra Black silicone to seal the seems at the outside and bottom. It smooths out better with a licked finger.

Lifeline Marine silicone in a tube found at Boaters World or West Marine.
Ultra Black or the right stuff.
I used lifeline on the thru hull exhaust outlet, and Ultra black on the RE`s... just make sure with any silicone seal, always clean, wipe down with alcohol...PR...

The Right Stuff is great. But it cures in a minute or so, so don't put it on till you are ready to put the piece in place. If you use silicon, make sure you use the one that is marked for "BELOW waterline" All silicone is not the same.
