    Question 66v 37cc domes

do engine rebuild on 2000 gpr ,standard 80mm bore,i have riva billet heads with 37cc dome, would compression be too high useing these ,should i get 41cc domes,if so has any one got any,as using r&d ignitions

This set up should run about 160-165lbs compression. That puts you just over the top for pump gas. I run 37cc domes on my triple. I run 70/30 race to pump fuel. I may have an extra set of 41cc domes if you need them PM me.

37 cc domes are correct add 4 cc for a oem head gasket total volume in chamber is 41 cc which is correct 145-150- psi or you can seperate the oem gasket and fudge a little using only one layer of the gasket (never use the center only the outsides) and get 155-160 psi.

2fast must have read that wrong! Correct me if I'm wrong 2fast. I have never herd of this. He said he has a RIVA Pro Series head. Just the o-rings should do.

Fountain must have misread. I am using 41cc domes with my Pro Series head and my compression is 145-150 psi with a Snap-On compression guage...I am using 93-95 octane fuel with that compression...

yes the pro series are o-ring,

i have the rius/miller heads that use an o-ring seal and with 38cc domes i was getting about 140-145psi.......

    41cc only gave me 130-135psi......

you could run the 37 no prob just make sure you use 93+ octane

if you can throw em in and compression test it that be good..but i dont know where your at in the rebuild..

RDH, were you running these on ported clyinders? Those # sound a little low.
I know the riva 37's run 160-165 that pushing it for 93 pump gas.

no porting...not yet... do you actually have the riva heads with 37's in or did you get that number from their magazine? because i also have the riva cast heads 41cc and even with only two gaskets i get 137psi, with a fresh motor.. and they claim 150.... so you never know until there in and you have a gauge in you hand

I have never run the Riva head, but I do run the ADA head. With a 35cc dome, I have just a little over 185 psi and with a 38cc I have 165 psi. The compression is dead on what they said it would be.
