Took pics under the seat and a few Qestions???
After consideration of the new intercooler I decided to open her up and see what I'm up against. First off It looks like I will be doing the thru hull to make room.
Should I be worried about some of this rust on the driveshaft?
What is this part with the white mark on it? It's back by the exhaust on the right side of the ski.
Also does anyone know where I can get a set of IC install instructions to glance at?
Thanks Guys I'm sure I'll have a few more Questions please bear with me I'm an IC newbie lol

Its hard to tell from the picture but it looks like the outlet side of the resonator.I know Riva post IC installation instructions they are probably on this site in the how to section, someone know the link.

Do you ride in salt water? Do you rinse the ski after every ride?
The black thing with the white mark is the resonator. It is there to eliminate an annoying resonance that exists at low rpm.

Yeah it's rust
I fulsh the motor and rinse the engine compartment religiously after each ride. I guess I could just throw some grease on there and make sure I get little more rinse time under the seat.
So I take it that whole setup can come out with the thru hull. Are there any videos of the thru hull. I looked on here but Only found one I want to know exactly how loud it gets.
Also I looked for instructions in the tech section but the closest thing i found was rx4pain drunk posting back and forth to himself lol. I'll check in at Riva

nick... don't worry about that little bit of rust... i got it on mine too. every ski that comes in the shop has it, and almost every ski that touches salt water has it. u probably won't own the ski long enough to see any ill-effects of that rust on the driveshaft.
refresh my memory... u have a PPG level one kit in that ski, or am i thinking of someone else? if so, it's time to get rid of that air system and go with something alot better and free flowing... but your prop will still be good (as long as u don't wreck it again )

Yeah I'm looking at RIVAs kit right now but I realy just need the intake not the whole kit cause I already have the Solas. But yeah I do have the PPG level 1. And as you can tell thats just not cuttin it. Not to mention my Gilrfriends sisters boyfriend just picked up an 06 RXP ( I told him to get his ass down to Formula 1 But he wouldn't listen and edned up paying too much IMO) So I need a little extra now
And dont even get me started on props. I swear I will make it the whole summer on one this year :Knocks on wood:

Found just the power filter. You think Riva is the way to go?
Here is my current thinking
Riva Power Filter
Riva Thru Hull
Riva or Ebay Powercooler
Riva Proseries blockoffs
And I already have the Solas 14/19 I think (I Should Know I bought 5 of them lol)
I'm thinking that should be a serious set up, is there anything else you can think of that I should add. I figure I dont need the SC impeller just yet. This set should get me at least to 72 mph with some hole filling on the ride plate and a serious hole shot. I hope. Give the guys at the shop a heads up I'll probably be down there soon. Man I gotta kick this speed habit of mine. Hopefully this will do the trick lol
