144mm-155mm pump conversion-will it work?
My other ski is 99 Waveblaster 800. -I don't think it was sold in the States.
It has basically the 800 powervalve engine and pump assembly of the older gp800.
As it is a short multi angled hull, it;s really good in the surf, and for carving-but not top speed. You can turn it so tight, you can get your shoulder in the water when sitting on the seat.
It also cavitates really badly, and I was thinking about going down the route of fitting the larger 155mm tunnel and pump from the gp1200.
Will it fit?
Is it worth it, or should I upgrade my 144mm pump/prop?

It should fit....make sure you measure both tunnels before removing yours. The 155mm pump will help push more water, but you really need to increase the size of the hub to realize all the benefits of the bigger pump. If you need measurements for either tunnel let me know. You might have to get a different length drive shaft as well. When I converted my son's GP800 from 144mm to 155mm it required a shorter driveshaft.

i think i have a spare driveshaft for gp1200 if you need it. Email if so.

I think one of the main problems is the amount of lean you can give the ski-The pump tunnel comes out of the water, and if that's the trouble, fitting a larger dia pump, regadless of the size won't do it!
I might try a prop, and possibly a Skat magnum pump if I can get hold of one, and try that first.

yes it will fit
bolt a gp1200 pump and shoe in there
use your driveshaft
its not a bad conversion but i think a 148mm magnum from a gp1200 setup would be far superior
