Need Polaris Mechanic SW Florida
Anyone know of any reliable mechanic that can work on a 2002 Polaris Genesis in the area of Fort Myers - Sarasota. See previous thread "Genesis Won't Start "

I was down in bradenton (the island) this weekend but I'm normally in central florida. Peace river goes through wauchula which is about 20 mins from here so you could ride it home!

its really not too bad to troubleshoot yourself.. check spark, compression, feul, timing.. could be something simple.
Is this two or four stroke? The started solenoid is out of the questions since you have spark its obviously turning over.. try taking the air breather off and putting a teaspoon of feul and oil mix (40:1 or so) in the carbs.. Then if that doesnt work check compression, and if that still doesnt work check your static timing. Your keyway could be sheared off on the flywheel.. you can take off one of the injectors and see if it is pulsing good by sprayinf the feul into a clear bottle. Give it another shot even if you aren't too good with machines if you have a decent set of tools and can follow directions you should be able to figure out the cause. How long did it sit before you went back and tried starting it?

I've been trying to start in now for 2 weeks. It ran fine the last time I used it. I had it sitting on one of those drive up docks for a month. There was a lot of moisture in it (under the seat engine compartment).
We tried some starting fluid in the air breather but that didn't seem to help. It will try and actually run for a few seconds now but that's about it. Sometimes it will backfire but not recently. When it does try to run a little water seems to come out the back (exhaust, I think).
Some one said it may be the computer.
