    Help - Advice Requested

    Did I mess up?

It was a chilly wet day today in Ontario and I took a shortcut by NOT flushing the engine exhaust system with the garden hose hookup.

Fuel stabilizer, engine lubrication & intercooler/exhaust manifold antifreeze were completed. Antifreeze was liberally placed in bilge and floor of engine area.

Boat is a 2007 C180 SCIC with 2 hours on clock.

Do you guys think I'll be okay in -20 deg winter temps OR need I revisit this winterization procedure AGAIN?

    I suppose

we could leave the hoses to the intercooler and exhaust manifold UNclamped so freezing and expansion of any type will have room to expand and spill out of these components?

No...if you ever saw the internal of the intercooler, you'd know that it is made of very tiny brass tubes...really fragile to freezing...if you intend to do so, i'd make sure to blow it dry internally, but don'T go and put 125 PSI of air pressure there....you could damage it...just blow it dry with low pressure like 10-20 PSI, it should do the trick.

    Any advantage

to leaving the hoses unclamped after flooding the IC and exhaust manifold with AF? I don't know if slushy AF at low -40 deg temps expand like ice?
