Dont think there are any aftermarket ride plates made for the Geni. Could go with a Nu-jet impeller (may cost some hookup) and a 6* wedge. Can't really do much else to that ski.

    On the impeller
Maybe call Dave at Impro's and see what he can do about making it faster............
Maybe get in touch with Scott and see if he's playing with these??

Changing the impeller and ride plate would be essentially minor tweaks, given the Genesis hull size and weight.

How much gain are you looking for?
How much money do you want to apply to the problem?

On the other hand, you could significantly boost the power output of your older carb'ed Genesis. That would be one of the advantages of carburetors - you can modify the engine, and then adjust the carbs to match the engine changes, and boost power significantly.

I don't know if anyone makes triple pipes specifically for the Genesis, but I imagine there is enough room inside that hull to fit a set designed for a Virage TX or another Polaris 1200.

The cylinders could be ported, again boosting top end power.

The engine could also be modified to increase displacement, on top of the above.

None of these changes should have a big effect on overall reliability, if done properly. Servicing would be reasonable, as long as the shop understood what the mods are, and is competent to work on such a motor.

You pick an impeller to handle the additional output, and away you go.

If I read it correctly he has the Ficht fuel injection system BUT he could surely change to carburetors but it will be costly as a different stator, CDI and wiring will be required, maybe even a new electrical box, coils, then of course carbs etc.

Actually, he has two Genesis. One injected, one carb'ed.

Carb'ed 1999 Genesis is for sale.

My suggestion is to consider keeping the carb'ed Genesis, and boosting that.

Has anybody tried shimming up the cylinders on a Genisis engine to raise the exhaust port and see what speed she brings??

Thats also going to require a cut on the heads to maintain compression...not that it's that hard, but something else to consider...Not sure what shimming will do to airflow and therefore fuel mixture with the injected setup.
