    Riva Intercooler question

I have just gotten the riva intercooler kit, I basically have the stage 1 setup with rear exhaust, and the opas deletion and the stag 3 supercharger and 42lb injectors. My rpm is a rock solid 8100 rpm. Will I see a rpm increase with the intercooler? If so, can I still get away with the 14/19r or do I have to go with the 15/20r?

    Either the Solas 15/20 4-blade, or the Skat/Riva 15/19 3-blade...

Be sure to put a water strainer on it and also run a ground wire from the intercooler to the engine block to stop electrolysis on your aluminum intercooler. Especially if you run in salt water.

with your set up I have had good luck with a 15/20 4 blade. i usually put a pencil zinc trimmed down a little in the outlet side of the water line. just incase when it is sitting with water in it. That and the ground wire helps a ton.

I have seen 2 differnet ways. one is from the I/c to the motor other is the i/c to the pump. i run a wire from the zinc that i drill and tap into the outlet fitting and run it to the pump bolt that the support bolts to and then run one up to the motor.

Not sure if it is really doing much but it is there and i have yet to have another riva i/c failure.

The brass fittings are from Lowes, the 1/2 x 3/4 hose coupler comes with the cooler, or you can get a straight one from Fastenal on Haynes Street.
