Arrow Boyesen Pro carbon fiber reeds, will they fit a '92 SL650 motor?

Today the Boyesen Pro Series reeds arrived.
    Nothing on the packaging regarding what Polaris models or engines these reeds will fit, but re-reading the eBay auction page (more carefully than I did last time, apparently), I find;

Part PRO30 fits the following machines:
    Polaris - SL 780 1996
    Polaris - SL 780 1997
    Polaris - SLT 780 1996
    Polaris - SLT 780 1997
    Polaris - SLX 780 1996
    Polaris - SLX Pro 785 1997
    Polaris - SLX Pro 785 1998
(WILL NOT FIT OTHER YEARS OR OTHER MODELS WITH OUT YOU DOING MODIFICATIONS TO MAKE IT FIT)

So before I contact Boyesen with any dumb questions, are the Fuji 780 reed cases or crankcase intakes actually different than the older 1992 650 Fuji?

If they are different, what kind of modifications are they talking about to make them fit a '92 650?

I have never laid eyes on a Fuji 780 motor in person, so I don't know how it may differ from the 650.

A recent PM (thanks for the tip) said "
I cannot find a difference between reeds from a 650, 750 or 780. The only difference would be the 780 has reed spacers and the others don't. Less turbulance applied to the petals with the spacers."

They fact that 780's normally have reed spacers, would their absence be an issue for these reeds with the smaller 650 motor?

Am I in for a surprise if I try using these reeds (they do look nice in the package), or is it all good?

you probably need the 780 reed spacers ! I run them on my 92 with boyeseen cages I can't think of any other variable! Z http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Polar...QQcmdZViewItem

! my concern is you might loose performance I run the dual stage reeds not the pro version edit I saw the auction you are just using petals I thought it was the whole deal I think those will kill your low end with or withiout spacers sorry!

Boyesen Pro Series Reeds combine breakthrough carbon technology with all the advantages of Boyesen's dual-stage Power Reed. The High Performance line is intended for High Performance modifications and/or racing applications.
the pro 30 doesnt have that disclaimer so I guess you could try em? then sell em if u don't like em?

I don't think there will be any problems. You should look into reed spacers, even if it were only a stock 650. Here's what they say about them. http://www.airtecsports.com/eshoppro...SPACER_KIT.htm But I would find them for much cheaper than they list them for.

650, 750, 780 and Pro785 reeds are all the same.

they are the same shape! but the compositions vary and the concern I had was they might be stiff enough to kill the 650's low end

I think they have/had 2 types (tensions) for all of the Fujis?
