Will an 05 pump fit on an 01?

Will an 05 pump fit on a 01 impeller housing and reduction nozzle?

Yes, the 05' pump will fit but you need to use a dynafly impeller.

Or the stock one from a 05+ ski. You are going to need to get the HP up if you use the Dynafly.

Just do a search on this topic and it will even get you the part numbers and what you need. There is a thread on this subject with great detail and pictures to help guide you through the transition.A stock 01' will have a hard time turning the Dynafly by itself, so if you haven't done so look at geeting the head done to get as close to 150 p.s.i. and re-jet the carbs as well.Make sure the pump plug kit is there as well and sealed.

OK, found the thread you were talking about - thanks
http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/show...t=pump+upgrade for those that can't find it.

    2 more questions, however.

What is the difference between the dynafly and my stock impeller?

Why do I need the dynafly in particular? the stock out of the '05 won't work?

The 05' pump uses an impeller with a larger hub. The stock 05' impeller would be a better choice for you if your motor is stock. You pretty much need a stage ll setup on a 1200 to turn the dynafly. Like was said, to turn the dynafly, add a head, F/A's and re-jet the carbs. The VF3 reeds are a good idea as well.

If memory serves me correct, 150lb compression requires at least premium gasoline. I really don't want to deal with that hassle at the moment..

I guess stock impeller's fine for me at the moment. Now I wonder if I can find one relatively cheap.

Why go to the expense of a new 05 pump? if you want better performance upgrade the impeller in your older pump. This way you benefit from the gains and can still run 87 octane.

I agree with O-bill. Find a 13/19 Solas prop on here, keep the advantages of 87oct, and enjoy a better ride. Seal your shoe, and slap on a 12r aftermarket grate.

Since Mark brought it up, if you decide to stay with the stock pump and go with the solas concorde, I have a brand new, never used, 14-20 that was blueprinted and de-pitched to 12-18 by IR. Bought it to use in my 01 but never got around to putting it in the ski...Cost is $150 + $15 shipping. Let me know if you're interested. Pics can be found in my GPR parts for Sale thread in the classified section...

    Enjoy,

    Ray
