    Mikuni pump hookup

I know you guys can handle this one... I just got a mikuni pump for my 96 780... I'm a little confused with all the arrows and fittings.. I need to know what fitting goes to the tank.. to the return.. and to each carb.....

The fuel return line does not connect to the fuel pump at all, only to the carbs, and the gas tank.

Do you still have the stock one from that boat? It's a much better pump. I would rebuild it instead of installing a lower volume pump. (round mikuni pump is lower volume than the stock pentagon pump)

I was told the stock one has a nasty habbit of letting the #3 cylinder frying after the pump has over 40 hrs. on it... I just want relabilaty because plan B SUCKS!!!!!

The 780 should have the pentagon pump stock and it is twice the pump compared to the three outlet pump pictured above

Yeppers, just rebuild the stock unit if it's saveable.
If not,I know alot of guys that have done the lower volume tripleoutlet pump and have no issues.

You would be correct if it's a 650 or 750. The 780 was using the H.O. triple pump from the factory.
