    2008's at Daytona

I had a chance to see the 2008 Honda at Daytona Biketoberfest yesterday. They had one there, in dark red/black. It was the G scape edition. Nice looking boat. Larger that the Ultra 250 by the ruler, but it appears less bulky. The bow has a concave spray deflector moulded in. Should help make for a dryer ride. Good size glove box. Seat main section weighs a ton. Rear seat section has little padding. Tool kit and storage under rear seat. Front storage is minimal for such a large boat. Hull deck unfastens like the previous generation so engine accessability should be a snap. Mirrors are located in such a position that about the only thing you'll be able to see is your hands and arms ! There are hardly any ripples in the black fiberglass hull...nice work. The front cowling is VERY lightweight and flimsy feeling when opened, but secures nicely when closed. Maybe Kawasaki fired the idiots who did the silicone work on the Ultra's grate and rideplate and if so, Honda must have hired them. What a sloppy mess, silicone all over everything except where it should be !!!
I'll be looking forward to seeing how it rides and handles.

    Richard

Sounds like Kawasaki all over again. Sad.

I'd rather go with out seeing pictures than go there.

    I looked Al!

It looks like it will be a very nice touring boat. More of what I was looking for when I bought the Ultra. the mileage should be on par with the RXT with the turbo.

When you take the front tub out, do you have "monster storage" like on the Ultra?
