Where can I find just the gasket for fuel cap w/o buying the cap?

You could find some sheet rubber at a hardware store and make one for a few bucks.

The filler caps and necks crack and introduce water into the fuel tank. If it were mine, I'd do an updated assembly or get a used assembly off a newer boat.

I tried making one from a toilet flapper gasket (actaully a chemical resistent rubber) and it just tore after the first tightening.

I always keep triple pipe coupler material around for emergencies, needed to make a fuel tank gasket for the 90 quad this weekend.
