Where do I hook up flush kit???

This may be a really dumb question, but where/what/how do I hook the flush kit to the engine??? I have a 1998 wave venture 701. I normally run in fresh, but taking a trip to the! Ski not equipped with flush kit, not sure how to route hoses or where it installs to (cylinder head, exhaust manifold, etc..) If any one has instructions, I appriciate it!

According to the owner's manual on a '98 Yamaha Wave Venture, there is a screw on the rear (stern) end of the engine. You're supposed to take it out, install a "water check plug", and connect it to your garden hose.

I've attached screenshots of the section of the manual so you can see for yourself.
