    Drop in speed..Impeller Damage????

Last week I sucked a rock into the impeller damaged the edge of it and scored up the wear ring also it took off 3 of the Shark teeth or splines in the pump support.Well Finally got it out in the water again yesterday to see if any ather damage.Question is Another 06 RXP was out there with me running 68-69 mph on the gps. I gps mine at 63-64. could the pump damge cause this to lose almost 5 mph or do i have one of those detuned skis..I know the damage will have some effect on it but will it slow it down that much????Thanks

I don't know how much slower the 6's are. I raced a stock 05 RXP on my 06 RXT yesterday and we were even all the way until the water got choppy and I started pulling him some. Kinda blew his mind that I stayed beside him.

    The power of the Internet.

My 06 ran 69+ consistantly with half tank of gas before I started modding it.

    Sorry for the hijack...

They say they are detuned, but the 05 and earlier ones are supposed to run pig rich. Maybe with all the other changes (cam, ect) the 06 skis run a little more lean giving them more power and equalling the field back out
