    Programmer or Software availble aftermarket?

Is there any alternative to the factory software/programmer (BUDS, I guess it's called) if not very unfair that bombardier makes people goto their dealers only to have keys reprogrammed ect.. Not fair to other shops... Just wondering..

Sure but there are often times aftermarket scan tools that will do the job, or even the factory tools are availble to non dealerships. Of course it's expensive but the manufacturer doesn't say NO we will not sell you one.

    I can see your point.

What does it cost to program a key? I dont have any idea what a dealer may charge.

    Don't feel bad

The Dealer where I bought my ski wanted to charge me for the key and programing a total of $100.00, and the other dealer charged my $41.50 for key and programing, it's pretty sad when a dealer want's you to buy from them, bud realy want's to stick it to you..

Wow, $100 that is sticking it to the end user.
I feel a $10 to $15 program fee on top of the $41 is fair.

But almost $60 for a program, wow

I would have gladly paid someone $60 for a VW key, cost me $275 for a locksmith to make a key for one that had no keys using aftermarket equipment.
