    Cool Yamaha's Adjustable Trim

What do most of you think about the trim on yamaha? Is it a good thing to have or dont really matter?
Im trying to decide to go fo rthe 08 sho or the 08 ultra 250. So I need to learn what one has and the other dont. Thank you,Rod

Everyone that I have spoken with loves the trim on the FXHO. It makes a difference. All the guys on the 250X wish they had it. 2* wedge different ride plate, nose to high, nose to low etc...I could go on & on, it is a great option not to be overlooked. IMO.

The adjustable trim is a WONDERFUL thing. It just adds that much more adjustability into the ski for your riding style and water conditions.

    love the trim
it helps when you have a passenger or when you want to try and jump the ski out of the water
as far as riding one up it probably would make no real diference

    biker,
I don't want to try and sway you one way or the other but you really need to make sure you have considered all your options especially since you brought up the "Ultra". I had two 07's and just sold both of them. I had problems with the red paint being too soft, it does drink a lot more gas and you have to use the high grade, the buzzer comes on half way through and you don't really know how much gas you have left, and you have the mega problem of gas getting into the oil everytime you go out to ride. At this point, i would not recommend anyone buying the Ultra until you know that Kawi will have these issues addressed in 08. I was changing the oil every 5 hours with about a quart of gas extra in the oil every time we rode. Just do your homework or you might be disappointed.
Not trying to be overly negative here but that's how important this purchase would be.

With all the problems they are having with the Ultra I wouldn't go near one personally. Not trying to bash here just my opinion that the Yamaha will be a much higher quality ski.

Gelcoat cracking, lot of gas in the oil, blower bearings, blower dipstick breaking off IN blower... Those are the ones I had seen in the Kawi section.
