Anyone that has made a homeade 4" / 4 inch rear intake chime in
I was going to tackle this project, just curious where you got your parts, what you used, and how to do it. Any info is greatly appreciated! Thanks fellas!

this contains parts from lafjax aluminum intake
I have a fastenal store up the street from me. this place is INCREDIBLY helpful in finding fittings, screws and clamps.

I appologize for this not being a direct idea strictly for SD, but I wanted to put the idea out there so that maybe you guys could come up with some ideas yourself.
Here is what I've done using an aftermarket carbon fiber seat for the GPRxp. I see that there are RXP carbon fiber seats with rear air, so you "could" come up with a rear air box and then direct the air in using the carbon fiber seat.
My parts list was:
- 4" to 3" silicone elbow.
- 4" polished aluminum elbow.
- Rear box cut to fit 4" tube
- CF seat.
No other rear intake I've seen is shorter, or more open.

4" to 3" silicone elbow/coupler.
Mark, the O.D. on the stock SC intake is 2 3/4", I believe. I couldn't find a 2 3/4" to 4" silcone elbow so I used some scrap silicone hose and wrapped it around the 2 3/4" O.D. inlet thereby making the 3" end of the silicone elbow fit snugly. BTW, great meeting you @ the Green Hulk booth at WF.

Tom, it was nice meeting you too!
Sounds like a great way to take up the extra room.
I've never had any issues with the 3 to 4 reducer. In fact, I think most of the aftermarket air systems are 3" silicone couplers as well.
