Why do some people have nothing but problems with motor mounts and some never looked at one twice?

Well I would think that the stock ski there would be no problem, but when you start to mod the ski, more power, torque, ect.... more stress on the engine, and front mount.

Jawz, next time you have your engine out grab the front engine mount with your hand. You will be able to wiggle it all around. Thats the same thing thats going on with your engine under load going thru chop. This puts unneccessary strain on your drive train which can lead to problems in your pump and wear of the wear ring.

I didnt have a problem with my motor mount, I replaced it because of the wear ring issue. Installed it and the Riva thermostat kit today, the motor mount is a 15-20 min. job!

The thermo install is actually pretty easy IMO...took me about 2 hours including re-filling and draining the fluid...and unhooking and re-hooking all the hoses...

For me the worst part was installing the locking ring without destroying the thermo housing...

I agree.......the locking ring was the worst part! After about 15 minutes of fumbling around trying to press it on straight I decided to bevel the edge of the housing and then it pressed on straight the first try!
