If I were looking for a GPR hull...
What would be the best one for a 4-stroke conversion? What hull / pump issues are there to consider?
New to Yamaha, haven't given the GPR its due. I'd like to acquire a hull with or without the engine to start something this winter. Living in Shreveport, La at the moment but I can travel to pick up a bargain.

The best one would be the cheapest GP13R you could find. After that, the cheapest GP12R. To use the GP800R hull, would require some nifty modifications that no one has tried yet.
I would avoid the 2003 GP13R due to the weak pump tunnel, unless it has been professionally redone.

Thanks! That's exactly the kind of info I'm looking for. Much appreciated.
It didn't even occur to me to that the GP800R might be included

Pistonwash told me that the 800 hull already has indentations where the original front mounts go for the gp12r, so it wouldn't be a problem locating the holes...just moving the internal backing plate on the port side. The starboard side is cake.
