    It happened, but........

I needed a 1.5 mph river current!! The temp was 68-70 degrees. I was truly in the mid 68mph range without the rideplate holes filled. There were 3-4 ft swells on Rayburn so Fullboogie and I hit the Angelina River. I knew Mark was going to do it this weekend, so I had to cheat to keep it fun. Congrats again Mark.

Billie, Rayburn looked like Galveston bay pretty much all weekend, it was nasty. The good thing is you can always go the Angelina River right up the road.

The Angelina is nice too. There is a couple of sand bars to chill out on. If I remember correctly, it is a 28 mile ride from the dam down to Hwy 190. Just to go south into Steinhagen lake. Nothing but stumps and 1 foot deep water.
