    Spark Plug Wire Issue??

    Hi Guys,

I found this in final prep to ride tomorrow. The dealer supplied me with some PMR9B's some time ago and was changing out one by one when something did not feel right so I compared.

Check out the pic here. Notice numbr four wire has a different boot???

Whats worse is that the snap socket on the wire end that should fit over the screw cap on the plug was not there like the others...it has what would appear to snap over the threads of a plug that does not have a screw cap. Ya...strange!!!

I've never had a noticeable miss or rough running but was clear there was slight arcing on the "screw cap".

There is nothing melted, no chance i dropped anything or broke anything.

Do yours??? I'd love to see some pics.

make sure that it isnt just a screw on plug top in the wire already. ie the plug top unscrewed itself and is stuck in #4 wire boot.

Thanks....ya, checked into that...compared to the others....it's simply not the right wire for the ski...total bastard. I was the chosen one apparently!

The wire end/boot is for a plug that has threads only. I'll try tro get close up pics tonight of the wire end with the centering boot removed and the plug. I can't believe it was not noticeably missing like crazy.

So to confirm with the ones that have checked it out (thanks by the way), all of your wire terminals and centering boots are identical?

Thanks guys....Kawi is going to warranty (no duh)

Here are some close ups to show all. That's some stuff eh?

The one on the left is obviously the one from #4, same with the boot.

It would not suprise me if the tip is interchangeable...it looks that way, but i'm not messin' with it until Wednesday when i swap bad for good.
