    Greasing the Coupler

About how many pumps on a pistol type grease gun would you say you would need to fill the space?

    Thanks.

2-3 pumps normally. I do it almost every ride. It's easy, grease is cheap and it keeps the seal from leaking water.

If the bearing is over-greased, does that mean there is excess grease pushing past the rear seal into the jet pump area, and then into the lake water?
Or does most of the excess grease push forward, into the bilge area? Where you can see it, and wipe it off.
