    Performance Sponsons

    Hi there guys

I have recently bought a 2004 MSX 140 and I am after some performance part for it, I am located in Melbourne, Australia and I cant seem to find any places in melbourne that sell any perfomace equipment for this ski!

I have on order a Worx intake grate from the Gold Coast and a 6 degree wedge for my pump, Im trying to located some performance sponsons but cant seem to find any company that makes them! Any help finding some sponsons would be great!

Also I have read that puting an extra base gasket under the cylinder gives you extra performance is this true or just an old wives tale!!!

If so what size gasket do I order, do I get two standard gasket of a different sizes for different performance gains

    cheers Geeman

    Welcome to the forum!

I have been trying to find one of those to buy for a while now!
Are there any others for sale there?
Not that it will help me, as I am in Canada!

BTW, are you sure it is a 2004 model?
What are the last four digits of the HIN?

Grand Prix in New Zealand has the sponsons, we would ship them from there to here save the bucks and order direct.

I kow a lot of us have been using the shortwing R&D, although the Worxs nor the R&D point the water to the correct area for stuffing the pump. It works, it's just that it could be better.

Addding a second base gasket basically raises the exhaust port for more top speed.

By doing so, you still gain, even w/ the compression loss? Or is the head shaved to compensate?
