    Intake Grate Or Not?

Hey guys. I am trying to put more hours on my new RXT and want to start getting some parts. I was going to get a stage one kit, but i am going to do a home made 4in front intake and then just buy the rest of the stage one kit. My question is should i just get the pump wedge or should i also get the intake grate. I know a lot of people say on the rxt the stock grate is good. What do you think? I ride most of the time in flat water. Thanks for the help.

get some skeggs for sure....and the wedge helps get the nose up a little more ....as far as the grate, you will get different opinions but i run the riva grate and wont take it off again....just my $.02

I love the riva grate too, and the wedge make a huuuuugggge difference. And the impeller helps too.

I will also get the impeller. The skeggs will be the first thing i do just not sure about th grate yet. I know i have seen alot of posts about keeping the stock one on the rxts.

We took the Riva grate off of Rocko's ski and put the stock grate back on and it went slower. Went straight back to the landing and put the Riva back on and the speeds came up. His RXT is running 78+ though so results may vary on a 70 mph RXT

Thanks guys. Well maybe i'll make the intake then get the rest of the kit and see how it feels. I may have to try it with both then see what works.
