    Magnum 12 Vain Pump

Is there anyway to measure to see if the pump in a ski is a E-75 or D-75 magnum pump? I know the "d" is 148mm i think and the "E" is 155mm. Help me out here! Dont want to tear one out just to see if its a D or E. I was told the wear ring is a little thicker on the 148mm. I alos was told to pump the prop out and measure the prop plus a couple for clearence. There has to be a quick way!

No easy way here. If you can't tell the difference by looking then you have to pull it and measure.

If it came out of a 97-99 gp1200 it is a 148mm pump.....Skat didn't make a 155mm pump until the gpr's came into existence....you could verify this with Skat-trak. All the 155mm and larger pumps are for newer ski's.

I talked to them and they said they make a 148 D and 155 E. I think it is a 148 because the wear ring looks just like the one above. It might have a little bit bigger lead in though. Another 1/4 inch. How do you like the skat pump?

I like both my Skat pumps....there is nothing that hooks up like a Skat pump. They can cost you some top end if you run a 12 or 14 vein stator, but the 6 and 8's aren't so bad. In my carbon boat I have a 7-vein plastic 148mm (sea-doo) pump. Bill's right that is the pic of the wear ring for the one he sold me....
