I am new to this site and i am working on a friends 1200 it has a hole in the PTO piston(number3 ).All the specs i find say that it is 84mm bore ,i have it tore down and the cylinders measure 83.xx not quite 84mm all 3 measure this .Do they just round the size to 84mm? or do i have somthing wrong?It's a 2000 genesis carb engine and has never been into before.I want to do a total topend rebuild but i want to make sure of the size.Any info you have will be apreaciated

What are you using to make your measurements?
Silly question BUT did you zero out your calipers?

83.xx on top of the piston is what the piston measures. the finish bore size is 84mm. the diffrence in your clearance

Exactly, but he says the bore measures 83.XX so I would think it has to be his measuring instrument or type he's using.
