HP for '07 stock ECU over 8100rpms?

Just thinking outloud here, but maybe someone has an opinion.

I've seen it mentioned many times now that the '07's (& maybe 06) stock ECU's rev limit was increased to 8300. We've all seen Riva's dyno numbers in the past showing horsepower dropping off after 8100rpms on a stock and stage 1 & 2 setups, but I believe that was an older ski with an 8200 limit. What I'm wondering is this: If I've got a stage 3 supercharger, and an '07 ECU, wouldn't the extra boost I could make at 8200rpms make up for what horsepower would have been lost on a stock setup?

Let's say with a stock to stage 1 setup, you're able to produce 7lbs @ 8100. Perhaps that would only be 7.1lbs at 8200rpms. But an S3 SC can produce 9.94lbs at 8100 and 10.24lbs at 8200. It seems like the extra boost would be worth dailing in for 8200.

    Riva's S3 SC Boost numbers (I know, slightly less when running an XS IC);
    7000 6.97
    7500 8.26
    7800 9.11
    8000 9.70
    8100 9.94
    8200 10.24
    8300 10.49
    8400 10.72
    8500 10.98

I can tell you for fact that the 07's may be hard linited @ 8300 but they cut fuel (Read Power) hard after 8100 RPM. You will loose power anything over 8100 so don't go there if you can.

While tuning my prop pitch, I was running about 8150-8200rpms for about 30 minutes a few weeks back. If the ECU leans the gas that much after 8100, that means I must have been close to blowing the engine. Can anyone with an A/F meter on an '06 or '07 confirm this?

what about a powershot fuel tuner to get more fuel at high revs???

i am running a stage 2 kit with the standard prop until i get time to fit the 13/19 i ordered and i have seen 8250rpm before the ski limits itself but never 8300.....

    i have a 07 RXT

running the standard injectors too and no issues so far with running lean.. but dont think the injectors can take any more.... does anyone know what size the OEM fuel injectors are on the 07 RXP's and T's???

    cheers

38's on the '07 injectors. I saw 8280 for as long as I can hold WOT on my '06 rxp several times on different setups & props. As for the R&D powershot, well, you know how well I liked it on a stage 2 with stock injectors. A definate must have if you run an ext. IC, s3 wheel & 4" intake with 38's (stage 2+).

Or go with 42's & be a little rich on bottom.....either way is good.
