2 stroke or 4?
In todays environment, would you still go with a 2 stroke (GP1300R) or one of the other 4 stroke yami`s...
I mean is there anything drastic going to go on, if you buy the last year of GPR?...PR...

depending on what you plan on doing with it?leave it stock or mod it?? or 2 up ridding??(gprs suck 2 up) IMO the 4 strokes are the future and 2 strokes will fade out. Iam partial 2 the new sho and rxpx hopefully yamaha will come out with a 2 seater sho in 2009

Hey Pale, Im dumb here so I need to ask, you said you would love a 2 seater fx sho, Im lost and just dont know, but whats wrong with the 3 seater fx sho. I hear many people on here talking about 2 seaters and I just dont understand it. IS it the way they ride, handle or what? So maybe help me out? Thanks ,Rod

Rod, Think of the difference between a 2door sports car & a station wagon.

Actually, he said 2-stroke versus 4-stroke...
To answer your side-question, think of it this way... in stock form,
-A 3 seater is like a harley. It likes to go straight, and is much more comfy.
-A 2 seater is like a sport bike. It likes to handle, but isn't as comfy.
Your mileage may vary!

ok mark i got it, thanks a lot, also if they "DID" build a FX SHO 2 seater, it would maybe be a tad smaller to, and handle better playing around in the water. ok i think i understand. you guys are the best on here. thanks,Rod

If Yamaha does manage to get the 1800cc into a two seater, it going to be one big two seater.
So whats the difference between a three seater and and a huge 2 seater thats basically a slightly smaller three seater.
The RXT and RXP seem to work with the different sized hulls because of the compact engine. Even though the RXP hull is the smaller three seater GTI, the engine still fits.
I'm wondering how Yamaha will sqeeze that monster SHO engine into smaller three seat hull...like the VX series.

Monster SHO engine?
I thought it was smaller than the GPR engine? Hell they made it sound like you could put it in your pocket.

i could swear someone on here said they already have a SHO motor in a GPR hull but they were unable to address its bouncing issues before the 08 release date so it was delayed till 09.
i love my GPR's so i guess that makes me a 2 stroke man.
btw 2 up on my 06 with the little woman on the back aint that bad, the 02 is a pig with 2up but the 06 is seems soooo much smoother.
