Any benefit to cutting these flush?

Indy, I would either remove them completely or not touch them ... cutting them would likely result in no suction and actually water going INTO the hull. I had trouble with mine and eventually dumped the stock bailer system and put a bilge pump in. I modded my two nozzles by grinding down the humps totally and then sealed up the nozzles with West System epoxy so that all the sections of the nozzle now look the same. But ... I did not notice a big gain in rpms or speed ...

I would think that removing or cutting them would just make the nozzle "act" like a smaller nozzle. So, removing them might make the stock 83 run more like an 82.
I say that because longer tail-cones make the nozzle act smaller also.
