    Post Accuracy of Stock Speedo

As I presume, the stock spinning wheel is not precise. Which is the best GPS to get that is WaterProof?

my stock speedo is off from 5-7 mph starting at 30 all the way to WOT.

GPS has a wide range. I've had Garmin's since 1995, and had fantastic service from them.

If all you care about is your top speed, any of the Etrex will work. If you want to get fany things, then the 76 series or the 60 series are the way to go. Then you get to pick color or B/W

EDIT: both 76 and 60 series are water proof. 76 series also floats

If you buy one that has a max speed reading, just put it in the compartment in front of you. The GPS will read through it with no problem. When you want to see how fast you went, open it and look. Then reset.

The GPS that comes on the GTX is the Garmin 76

if you go with the Garmin etrex make sure it is a high sensitivity receiver. They lock on quicker and stay locked on.
If its just for the ski the Garmin 76 series will fit ithe glove compartment door, which can be ordered from the online store.. 269501321 DOOR$39.99
On ebay the GPS76 usually runs between $130 and $175

The B/W 76 series are all around $150. Color versions are about $330.

For just the ski, I'd buy the 76, as it floats. I have the 60, but I use it in thewoods and snowmobiling, and it has a slighly higher sensitive receiver with the external attenna. But that should not be a problem on water. Not usually too many trees in the way
