Angry tips on removing the j pipe Eng side

My j pipe and I have had some lovely discussions this evening.

If you have any tips on making the removal easier they would be greatly appreciated. It seems the clamp doesn't want to give it up.

Heat the clamp with a heat gun, then pry the clamp apart.....some people hit the clamp with a hammer and a block of wood........it's just Loctite from the Factory that is giving you trouble. Once you free it for the first time.....it will be easy the next

What he said. Use the block and hammer. A couple of light solid hits and it will come right out. I had the exact same problem when i took mine off for the first time .

    Thumbs up Done

It took me longer to ask the question than it did to give it 3 taps and yank the waterbox and j pipe out..

Now I sit and patiently wait for the shorty

    Thank you for the tip
