Thread: adding reverse

yes yes I know reverse isnt the coolest thing to add, but given the rediculous docking situation I have at my cottage I'm sure you would all understand.
I was wondering where I might be able to buy a reverse kit?? I was browsing around the forum and PH2O said he added it to his 750 project, I checked it out and it looked awsome. He has seen kits on ebay but I cant seem to find anything anywhere!?

Who says reverse isn't cool??
It works killer, you lose no top speed and it makes for a great project.
You can find guys/gals parting out a 3 seater with reverse. Get the handle, cable, pump linkages and bucket components.
This of course if you have an extended pump on the craft you want to install the reverse system.
I did a step by step with photo's around here somewhere.

im thinking this gonna be on the pride of the fleet wonder if the trim is gonna be a problem , so how is the slx comeing along
but ya sure can be done , zigler sells the cone/reverse bucket hardware for 40 and shipping the cables and levers could prolly run ya 40 bucks at the most but its gonna be a funky teal color prolly ,

Ya when my dock is located its VERY hard to come in slowly enough to not slam into rock, so reverse will be a god sent.
As for the projects, I just received my gasket set for the 900 as well as the impeller removal tool. Dont forget, it takes about 3 weeks to receive what I order from the US. I bought a new impeller for the slx as well, since it looks like it was filed down and is probably shot. If I can get a reverse set up on the slx that would be really cool, and in the summer I might even try pissers.
I'm still a bit gunshy on buying the new crank for the 900 because money is tighter during the school year, but lets face it I will be too impatient to have all the parts sit around all winter. Carbs are all done on the 900 and look good, I was wondering though, do I disassemble the fuel pumps? They have that tamperproof torx head on them....My carb rebuild seems to have gaskets for the pumps so I might want to eh?
Once the crank is bought you will see me on here very regularely because thats when it will all come together!
