    What`s the story on the GPR`s?

    I would like to learn some things about the GPR.
    what`s up with the pump tunnel? do you really have to re-inforce the tunnel on a stock ski? what really happens here?

    also what`s up with the stock grate?
    will there be any issues with a totally stock 08 GPR?...Thanks...PR...

    also what`s up with the stock grate?stock grate has a really bad left hand turn when decelerating. Its a wild ride. This is a must change out.

    Yes, even at stock speeds.

    As for addressing the problem, it has been going on since 2000, so I dont think that these boats are anything but left overs with a different paint scheme.

    that blows, I know my friend won`t comprehend doing this to his spankin new 07... Then he`ll break my balls for telling him to look at that particular ski for what his criteria was/is...

    Now I`m asking bc I`m on the bubble for which ski...

    you guys are going over the stock speeds tho. I have absolutely no intentions of modding any boat. Maybe I have to exclude this one from the list , damn...PR...

    yep PR, its imperative that the stock intake grate be removed. it overstuffs the pump .....and the pump tunnel is the achilles heel of the GPR. Kind of like the ceramic washers on the 4-tec. Its not if it will break, its when.

    what kind of grate can you install that will buy you time?
    let`s say you ride the stock , can you at least get a season or 2 before you have to tear into it to reinforce the tunnel...
    I mean that`s a crappy thing to do on a brand new ski, just like getting an 07 SD and having to immediately remove the SC and install washers.
    What are we paying good money for. Seams to me that whatever you buy, you have to do something to it right away, that`s F`d up...PR...

    PR, my buddy has a stock '06....Mod it,...I can't get him to wash it!

    -The only changes are R&D 1200 grate and stepped sponsons. He will never go back just for the improved ride with no reguard for safety upgrade. With an extended warrenty he has no interest in the pump tunnel.

    kinda spells disaster no?

    di you reinforce the tunnel on your 06?
    I mean I understand completely that it is a good upgrade/safety matter, and prolly would have no problem doing that. I`m just not jiggy with tearing into a brand new boat...PR...
