If you rent a little smaller truck that has hydraulic brakes I dont think you would need a CDL. The fuel mileage on a full size class 8 truck is BAD. (4-6 mpg)

Trucks aint cheep,Neither is diesel..Find a driver who has been off duty for 14 hours prior to the run and then he can only drive for 11 hours before he has to be off for another 14 hours..Take the pickups youll get down there faster.trust me.I have a CDL

    Just buy this.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...179810103&rd=1

Register it as a motor home and there is no CDL required.

Shibby has the right idea..800 dollars isnt bad compaired to what a semi would cost for fuel..Average semi holds 150-200 gallons of fuel at say 3.25 a gallon thats 487 to 650 dollars to fill the rig..Then a average rig only gets about 5 to 7 miles to the gallon so your looking at filling them tanks when you get down there..so you ur looking at 974 to 1300 dollars to fill them bad boy and thats not even the cost of the truck and trailer rental

Rent the Tundra and giver hell
