    Question about winterizing an SLH

    Hello,

New member here. I have a 2000 polaris SLH and would like to know if there is anything special attention required on this model to winterize it properly. I have a seadoo and do the fogging oil and engine block antifreeze. Are they anything in particular that I need to know about the SLH?

    thanks,

    Welcome to the Polaris hulk!

You can start with this thread, but also use the Advanced Search function, select the Polaris forums, and search for "winterize".

Your SLH would have a Polaris domestic 2-stroke carb'ed motor in it, and most of the winterizing tips here apply to both Domestic and the older Fuji engined models.

The only Polaris models that really differ (in terms of winterizing) are the 4-stroke MSX models, as they have a different cooling system.

    Thanks for all the info.

Does the SLH have the kind of engine that is self-draining?

    Yes, I believe so.
Just get the nose up 10-20 degrees, run the motor and burp the throttle a couple of times to clear out the exhaust system.

Then do the rest of the winterizng stuff disucssed in the threads...
