Removing waterbox? RXP
What do I have to do to get the water box removed. I have every hose and strap off and cant get the pipe that connects the exhaust manifold to waterbox out. if i need to disconnect the j pipe at the manifold how do i go about doing this?

You just loosen the clamp holding the J-pipe to the exhaust manifold. Use a deep 10mm socket to loosen the bolt. You don't have to remove the bolt all the way. Then slip the "T" end of the bolt out of the clamp. You may have to hit the clamp to knock it off if you haven't removed it before.

yeah get a piece od 1x3 (or so) tap the clamp a couple of times and BINGO!!!!!. Just a few taps

One thing I noticed is when you losein the clamp is that some of the threads may come off in this case I keep the threads lubed up with WD 40
Also that pain in the ass piece of tubing over the threads is sometimes a bitch to get off. Just take your time losing up the nut.
Just my 2 cents

okay fellows I got the water box off. I think anyone that has to work on the s/c needs to kick someones butt at brp. I had to beat(not tap) that clamp off. before doing this i did not see the need for a shorty water box, i think i will need to buy one or mod. the one i have before i button it back up. thanks again fellows.
