capital one is the way to go, but it depends on your mortgage payments and your credit line... I pay my snowmobile and ski expenses with capital one 0% cards and after a year when they try to hit me with a 25% APR I just cancel and renew.... suckers!!!

how do those cash back deals work? is it based on a percentage of what you use each month or what? i've never understood them or gotten into them. but if they could help with my 4wheeler purchase i would definately try it.

The card I went with is 1% cash back on all purchases including mortgage payment. You must pay the balance each month not get charged with interest and offset the 1%.. You use the card like a debit card for all purchases and receive 1%. So for all mouthy expenses say 7000 times 12 months = 84000/1% = 840 cash back.

I have three credit cards right now... all cash back and 0% financing
rule #1 is dont cancel credit cards, it hurts your credit. you dont want a credit card anymore, shred it and jsut dont use it and keep shredding any new cards they send and the statements. constantly flipping between cards and cancelling and renewing is not good for your financial background
most of my credit cards are directed towards vehicle expenses and/or food dining. I get 3% back on all vehicle expenses... alot of stuff falls in that category too, somehow UPS does, all fuel, pep boys, auto barn, oil changes, etc etc.. then 3% back on food dining
everything else is 1% back
it's nice when u get that check in the mail for the cash back.. FREE MONEY

where did you get this 3% deal and do you pay your balance every month to get the cash back?

no i dont pay my balance every month. i carry a balance at all times ... it's 0% so i just throw 50-100 bucks at it a month depending how generous i'm feeling that month and i leave my money sittin in the bank earning interest. it can be dangerous having 0% credit cards, but i make sure i am able to pay off my balance at any time, but so long as it's free financing, i'm not paying them when i can keep all my money and earn on it.
For whatever reason, i get non-stop promotions in the mail from credit card companies for 0% and cash-back money.. i dont look for it or ask for it, i just go thru the mail and throw out the crappy deals, and the good deals i file away... this way when my current credit card promo expires i dig out the one i got in the mail a few months earlier and accept the pre-approval. sometimes it's no longer valid, but 9 times outta 10 they still give it to me.
