    resistor install

i've been reading about installing resistors and i'm a little confused on how to install them. i understand that many people are favoring the 10k ohm but the 2k ohm works fine. what i don't understand is where these are to be installed. does anyone have pics? thanks

I dont have any pics, but I took an old temp sensor, cut the wires about 4' from the plug, soldered each end of the resistor and then shrink wraped it.

a few of us found the 2k ohm work on the 05 and above, where the 10k ohm on 03 and 04,saying that wfo uses one for all i think with the same results,
check the servive manual for your year and pick mid point range on the temps and its value in ohm's will be clear...

as you can see i incased mine in epoxy in the stock connector after soldering,
its on the side of the c.d.i box,

    hope this helps

yes make it out the stock connector,

    remove temp sensor from ski..
plug or weld hole like i did in pic.
carefully remove wire from stock connector.
bend resistor ends over to fit snug in stock wire crimps where you removed the stock wire..
solder and re fit to stock connector block..
cover resistor on epoxy and let dry..
    re-fit to stock loom..

job done on more damn BEEP BEEP BEEP...

a little off topic but which d-plate do you prefer...riva or R&D? or are they identical?
