Using the Riva Mount with XS IC

ATC2006 used the riva ic mount with his XS IC on his 07 RXT....here are pics and please address any questions to Rick, ATC2006. After seeing him wrestle it in and out I do not think this will be feasible for an RXP due to the size of the IC. He had to cut the bottom of the bracket off in order to get it into the hull. Also he had to attach the ic to the bracket before mounting because of the rubber straps. Anyway, he did it and it works but it is a pain. He also replaced the riva plastic pipes with 2 3/4" aluminum pipes and 45 degree silicone elbows...really looks nice and is bullet proof. Here are the pics I promised to post:

Good pictures lafJax, I will be giving my set up to Danny next week for him to test fit for me so we will see if this set up works in the RXP in due time. I made a exact replica of the Riva Bracket olny difference is that the Ic will be bolted to the Bracket.

    Lafjax,

Do you have a pic looking straight down into the compartment from say...two feet above the edge of the hull?

Sorry, I don't but I'll get you one but it will be next week...
You can see the short alum tubes he used, one is about 8" and the other is 4" so it is mounted close to the engine.

The reason I'm asking...the new rear air I've got worked out....will I have enough room for an xs mounted similarly or will I have to start scratching my head?

I come out from the sc at a short 45, then turn straight up...but fat...5" in dia....I'm worried I won't be able to clear the xs tubes.

From the looks of it, you will have some plumbing issues if you mount the XS in the Riva unit and try to use a Riva Rear air ON an RXP....
