    bearing damage

All I can say is if you have a SC bearing failure and think you can get away with just fixing the SC clutch and new bearings you better think hard before you run it after you see what the inside of my PTO looks like and the oil pumps.Thinks to 9secZ06 (John) of all the help with gettin it fixed,he's the man...
He will posted pictures to show what the damage was later.

As u can see we tried to cheat by letting the motor hang (thought just bad stator) but the amount and type of metal we found, well, it's out now and the case halves are separated. We ordered up everything we need to re-build the pumps and I had a flywheel, stator, and all the other items that are crap. s/c bearing debris got into the stator/wheel and this is the result.........not charging and metal in the pumps. The bearings and the crank look cherry so all will be fine after a couple hundred bucks and a bilge clean-out. More pics of engine out and apart as soon as I go back there and take them.......

Well, it looks like the 72.8mph stock +intake, skegs and prop (with pitch) is back on the water turning 8150 and ready for some more hours, and he is not even home yet. Was quite interesting retrieving my ski after the test riding the water was cold . Anyway, there was alot of metal removed from those pumps. The front pump has a round screen that had shards of metal half-way through the screen....like a surgeon I picked at the screen for a good 25 minutes just to get the metal out so I could spray it down w/ cleaner. Buddydoo will have pics. Ohh, when we pulled this motor, we left the fuel line on the intake, and the intake resting in the footwell, so it fired up in 2 seconds
