Yamaha visibility spout
I know everyone disconnects the visibility spout on the yamaha's because of looks but i'm just curious does it help performance in anyway or does it hurt performance in anyway??

Just for looks and to not spray others. There is no gain performance wise.

You get a gain if you machine the inside of the nozzle and remove the raised area that directs the water out of the visibility spout.
You get further gains if you remove the syphon tube and fill in the area.
