Anybody buying insurance for their Jetskis in CA?

Anybody have insurance for their jetskis in Southern CA? If so, how much and who are you buying it from?

The reason I ask is that I'm out hunting for new insurance for my new home, and they won't sell my insurance unless I have insurance for my jetskis ....I don't understand that policy, but it's annoying me

I went through the Auto Club after checking prices with several insurers. I have another boat that I've had insured with them for a few years, and I just added my ski to the same policy. I think it was somewhere in the neighborhood of $134 a year for the ski? Plus if you don't already have an AAA membership, you have to pay for that, but it almost pays for itself anyway. Let me know if you need more info.

oh really?? I have AAA, I didn't know they insure Jetskis, if its about $100ish a year to insure one of my jetskis I could afford that

I'm going to go down to my local office and ask about that

Good luck. You might want to call first - I had to take my ski to them so they could take photos of it.

Where in SoCal do you ride?

I'm using progressive. I have been for 6 or 7 yrs now.
For my 97 800cc gsx & my 06 rxp I pay 463.00 per year if paid in full or 501.00 in payments.

    278.00 per yr for rxp
    223 per yr for gsx

    Both ski's:

    liability/injury = 50,000 each person/100,000 per accident
    property damage = 25,000

uninsured idiot = 15,000 each person/30,000 each accident
medical payments = 2,500 each person
    comp/coll = 500
    roadside asst. = free

6k value on the gsx...WTF?! LOL
    10k on the RXP

Hmm, thats what my policy says. I wonder if i'll get that if they get stolen.

I have to get my registration renew, so I will ask them when I'm there

I mostly ride at Lake Perris and Long Beach..sometimes Mission Bay in San Diego...haven't found any good lakes to ride here in S. Cali

In heat of the summer, usually plan trips to Lake Mohave in Arizona

Cool! I ride predominately in Mission Bay, mostly because I live four houses from the water, and 1/4 mile from the launch ramp. But we keep talking about going to the river and checking it out. It would be cool to ride for a couple of hours without seeing the same territory over and over and over again . . .
