    New To Yamaha

OK hello all,,,yamaha nubie here,,got a few ?'s for ya on 98 GP1200..very mechanical(very shadetree)..not an idiot (well at least not on alternating mondays)
I have read a lot of the stuff on bucking, kicking BUT I read myself confused between gp-gpr buck, kick, pump relief mod, ect.
I have only run a 1/2 tank of gas and I dont like the nose dive i get from letting off the gas ..IS THAT A BUCK? KICK? ME HITTING A TURTLE?PUMP OVERSTUFFING???
WHAT GETS RID OF "IT"??-- pro tec intake grate/ride plate --rive intake grate/ride plate?--LARGE WOMEN ON BACK SEAT??

The hull is under that #5000
I cant find it again but what do i need to look out for on this early 98 gp1200??
Would the RIVA cdi help out on a stock motor with just K&N F/A??
    THANKS ALL FOR ANY INFO
and yes i know i am buying old _ss sh_t
but i am poor broke AND CHEAP

We went to Key West for the offshore races sunday. Rode mopeds and had lots of fun.

GP's do not have a pump overstuffing issue. Have you looked at the condition of the trim tabs? Are they still there, are they there but sagging and about to break?
