    Chicago Trip

    Hey guys,

just looking for advice here. I am planning a short roadtrip to chicago, il this weekend with my new girlfriend of about 2 months. Some info- I am 22 and she is 21, she is a picky eater but if it is romantic i'm sure she'd feed her face just because I was sweet I like sports, comedy, outdoors, etc. She told me she will not want to shop when we are there because she can do it here.... but I know her better than that and she will find somewhere to waste my time... hope shes not reading this.

We will arrive friday and leave sunday. I tried to book at Best Western on Ohio st. downtown but they are booked. I am looking to spend about 140-150 per night, which is hard to come by downtown.

Things we want to do are Sears tower, Hard rock Cafe, ESPNzone (my choice), Aquarium, ed debevicks, and also something that you guys might suggest. So what i need to know is:

Should I look for something downtown? (suggest hotel please)
or stay out of downtown ? (suggest hotel please)
If I stay out of town should I drive in and pay to park or get a taxi?
Is the Navy Pier interesting this time of year? I've heard they have mostly shops and outside stuff.
Is Micheal Jordans Restauraunt any good?
The sears tower, better at night or during the day? I've heard night.
Any suggestions on a romantic restauraunt we can eat at?

I plan to do the Tower Friday evening when we get there, then go to eat someplace... then if we have time find a nice bar to get a few drinks and head back to the hotel. Saturday is up in the air and we want to organize this so we can get as much done in one day as possible. It is a 5 hr drive from here but we just want to get away for a couple days.
I really want this to go smoothly and make it worth our time. All opinions will be respected.
    Thanks guys!!!

    Ben

hotels are expensive in the city
if you stay out of the city you can ride the train in
gets dark early so you could do both at the same time maybe at the tower.

    check into this.

    That would be Ruth Chris...

Seriously, avoid the mainstream places, those are tourist traps...
